The Friends Collective: An Approach to Collaborating with Creators

Creative Placemaking, as defined by Artscape, is using the power of art to serve a community’s interests while driving a broader agenda of change and transformation.

This captures the spirit of our mission with The Friends Collective.

Our interests at this moment are to build bridges between artists of multiple disciplines, learn to think about creativity in a different way and make space for developing artists to share their work.

As a part of the @the.friendscollective cohort, our creatives will collaborate on select concepts with the goal of producing a piece of art for exhibition.

Designed in partnership with a dear friend and frequent collaborator, we want talented multidisciplinary creatives to create art infused with our communal interests and perspectives.

Guided by the values we have set out, we will learn about designing creative projects, working effectively in a team and fostering an innovative space.

Creating across multiple disciplines is exciting, challenging and rewarding, especially when accomplished as a team.
